Fantasy Island

Part One

Giles walked into the travel agency.  "Sir, may I help you?"  The receptionist asked.

"I would like to plan a vacation for some friends and myself.  Could you help me?"

"Well, I can't but I can get someone to help you."

"Would you, please?"  Giles requested.

The receptionist picked up her phone and dialed an extension.  "Yes, I have someone here who would like to plan a vacation for some friends . . . okay . . . alright, I'll tell him."  She hung up the phone.  "Just a few minutes.  She's with a customer at the moment, but will be done in a few."  The receptionist went back to filing papers and typing up letters and invoices.

*****

"Hello.  My name is Paula Sanders.  I'm the travel agent here.  And you are?"  The woman asked.

Giles stood realizing that she was talking to him.  "Giles.  Rupert Giles."

"Like, Bond, James Bond?"  She asked with a giggle.  "Please follow me."

The woman led him into a medium sized office.  "Please take a seat."  After Giles was seated, she continued.  "Where would you like to take a vacation to?"

"Some place very relaxing.  Some place to get out minds off sla . . . work.  A fantasy kind of place."

"I have just the place for you."

The woman and Giles had a hushed conversation which ended in the woman writing out a quick note for Giles to hand to the receptionist.

Giles walked out of the Mrs. Sanders' office, and handed the note to the receptionist.  "Oh, you're in for the time of your life.  You will receive a notification in the mail within a few days.  Be sure to be on the plane, you don't want to miss your flight.  There are no refunds.  Speaking of refunds, here's the bill.  You can make it in payments or all at once.  I do need at least $100 down payment right now."

Giles was baffled at how much this girl could get out of her mouth in under a minute.  Nevertheless, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his money clip.  Taking 2 $50 bills, he paid the down payment.  "I just need the names of the people who will be accompanying you on the trip."

"Myself, Rupert Giles.  Buffy Summers.  Willow Rosenberg.  Alexander Harris.  Anya . . . uh . . .Harris, and Spi . . . William . .. er . . uh . . Chapman."

"Okay.  Rupert Giles.  Buffy Summers.  Willow Rosenberg.  Alexander and Anya Harris and William Chapman."

"Yes.  Do you believe you could make the flight an over night one?"

"I can do that.  Let me just right it down."  She jotted down the quick note.  "Okay, just so you know, you still owe $2,356.28."

"Thank you for reminding me."  Giles walked out of the office mumbling, "I don't know why I do this."

Part Two

"I don't care if you don't want Spike to go, Buffy.  Although he makes it well known that he hates us all, and if he could, he'd kill us, he still helps us.  Helps you.  He's going with.  Whether you like it or not.  If you choose not to go because he's going, then you can patrol."

"Fine." Buffy replied.

"Giles, where are we going?"  Willow asked.

"You'll see when we get there."  Giles said.

"And what name might you have given me?"  Spike asked.

"William Chapman."

"What did you use as Anya's last name?"  Xander asked.

"Harris."

"Oooh.  Xander, we get to be married."  Anya said.  "This could be our honeymoon.  You know what people do on their honeymoon.  They have sex.  Lots of it."  Anya scooted closer to Xander.

"Or you're brother and sister, and you believe in incest."  Spike added.  The couple gave him a dirty look.

"We don't even look alike."  Xander snapped.

"Giles, when do we leave?"  Willow asked, trying to get the trio to stop picking at each other.

"Tomorrow night.  That's what this letter says.  I asked for an overnight flight, so that Spike would be able to go."

"And we're landing during the day?"  Spike queried.

"Well, I don't know.  I don't how long it will take to get there."

"And where's there?"  Spike asked.

"Willow and I already covered that.  You'll find out when you get there.  Now, everyone go home and pack."

Within moments Giles' house was empty.  "Finally, peace and quiet."  Giles flicked on the TV just as the door opened again and Spike walked in.  "I thought I asked everyone to go home and pack."

"I remembered that I don't have anything to pack.  No clothes.  All I need are some smokes."

"Then here."  Giles shoved money at him.  "Go buy enough for a week." Giles said turning his attention to the TV

"The vacation's a week?"

"Yes.  Now go."

"Where are we going?"  Spike asked seeing the watcher was into the program on the TV.  He hoped he'd be able to get it out of him without Giles knowing.

"Fantasy Island.  Now I said GO!"

"Fine.  Don't have to tell me twice."  Spike walked out, and made his way to the nearest place he knew he could buy cigarettes.

*****

"What should I pack?"  Buffy asked herself.  "I don't even know where I'm going.  Is it warm?  Is it cold?  Knowing Giles, it's probably some place with a huge library, and he didn't look at the type of weather the place gets."  She rummaged through her closet and drawers.  "Well, I just hope it's someplace warm."  Buffy began packing tanks, crops, skirts, shorts, and other summertime clothes.

After two and a half hours, she was finally done.  There was almost nothing left in her closet or in her drawers, and she had to sit on her suitcase just to get it to zip closed.

*****

"Anya, don't pack everything you own.  That would be way too much."

"Well, I don't know where we're going, so I don't know if I should pack warm or cold."

"I think Giles would pick a place that was warm.  Don't ya think?"

"Well, I guess.  But if I pack for warm weather, that means that it'll be cold weather."

"Well, then I guess I'm just going to have to keep you warm."  Xander said, while he packed his things.

"Okay. Xander, get in my bag."

"Why?"

"Well, if you're keeping me warm, then you would be my clothes, and you told me to pack my clothes in my bag."

"You have to take at least some clothes."

"Fine.  But the less I take, the more you're on me."  Anya said.

*****

Spike had bought the cigarettes he would need for the week.  Then headed for Willow's house.  It was summer, and the dorms were closed.  He was glad that Willow had given him her parents address.  Just in case of emergencies.

*****

Willow heard a faint tap on the french doors in her room.  She walked over, and pulled the curtains back a little, to see Spike standing there.  She opened the doors, and asked, "Spike, is something wrong?"

"No.  Just wanted to see if you needed help packing."

"Oh.  Uh. . . come in."  Willow inviting, returning to her packing.  "Shouldn't you be packing?"  She asked.

"Already have.  Got my bags right here."  He said holding up two cartons of cigarettes.

"Oh.  What about blood?"

"Where ever we're going, there has to be a butcher.  I'll buy it there."  Spike said, already knowing what his fantasy was going to be.  Well, actually he wasn't quite sure.  He had two things he really wanted.  He was still in the midst of deciding.

"Oh, okay.  Well, since you're here, you could help me decide what to take.  I'm not sure what to take really.  I mean, I don't know if I should dress for warm or cold weather."

"I would suggest warm."

"But what if Giles decided that he wants to take us to Alaska or something like that?"

"I have a feeling we're not going to Alaska."

"He told you."  Spike didn't reply.  "Spike, tell me where we're going?"

Spike was surprised that his Red actually took that tone of voice with him.  Maybe it was because he had the chip and she knew he couldn't hurt her.  "I really shouldn't tell.  It would ruin the whole thing."

"Resolve face here.  There will be no arguing with me.  Now tell me where we're going!."  Willow surprised herself that she was yelling at William the Bloody, one of the most feared vampires ever.

"Fine.  We're going to Fantasy Island."  Spike said.

"Spike!  I said tell me where we're going!  Not lie!"

"I'm tellin' the bloody truth.  That's what the watcher told me.  He was sittin' there watchin' the telly when I asked.  I only asked because he was so focused on the screen that I didn't think he would even realize I was asking him.  Then he told me we were going to Fantasy Island, and told me to get my ass out of his flat!"

"Oh."  Willow blushed.  She didn't think Spike was telling the truth at first, but she'd learned that when he babbles he's almost always telling the truth.  "Sorry I didn't believe you."

"Sokay, Red.  You're allowed one mistake.  After that, we start taking off limbs."

Part Three

"Flight tickets please Mr.?"

"Giles.  I'm Rupert Giles.  I was not given flight tickets, just this letter that I received in the mail."

"That's the ticket."

"Oh, then here you are."  Giles handed the woman, who looked strikingly familiar, the tickets.

"Okay.  Giles, Rupert.  Who's Summers, Buffy?"  Buffy raised her hand.  "Rosenberg, Willow?"  Willow looked up at the moment, taking note that she had seen her somewhere before.  "Harris, Alexander and Anya?"  The couple raised their hands.  "And Chapman, William?"  When Spike raised his hand, the woman glanced at him, then did a double take.  "Spike?"

"Amelia?"  Spike asked.  After realizing it was who he thought it was, he walked over, and gave her a hug.  "How are you?  I heard your last flight didn't go all that well?"

"Just because I crashed doesn't mean anything.  I'm still a good pilot.  Max was kind enough to let me fly his clients to the island.  Who are your friends?"

"Well, you already know there names.  She's the Slayer."  Spike said pointing at Buffy.

"Always hanging around Slayers.  You should have learned your lesson with the last two.  Vampires are not supposed to hang around Slayers."

"I thought we agreed to never bring that up again."  Spike growled.

"Sorry."  She said, airly.

"That's her watcher, Red's a witch, and the other two are human, except she's an ex-demon."

"Oh.  It's nice to meet you all.  I'm Amelia Earhardt."  Four mouths all dropped at once.

"It's nice to meet you too."  Anya, the only one that's mouth still worked, said extending her hand.

"Well, we better get in the plane, before the sun comes up.  I don't want my plane to be ashy."  Amelia said, boarding the small charter plane.  The six people followed her up.

*****

Xander and Anya sat next to each other on the plane, as did Willow and Buffy.  Spike sprawled out in the far back, covering two seats, and Giles sat in the front, and talked with Amelia for the entire flight.

*****

"So, Willow, where do you think we're going?"  Buffy asked.

"I don't know, but I hope it's warm.  I only packed shorts and stuff.  Nothing for cold weather."

"Yeah, me too.  Did you have to sit on your suitcase to get it closed?"

"No.  Actually Spike closed it."

"Spike?  Spike was at your house?"

"Yeah.  He was already packed, and was wondering if I needed help getting packed."

"Why do I find it odd that he would want to 'help' any of us?"

*****

"Anya, what do you want to do first?"

"Have sex."  She said casually.

"That's new."  Xander's comment was dripping with sarcasm.

"Hey, you made fun of me.  You're not supposed to make fun of me."

"Anya, I was just joking.  You always want to have sex."

"Is that my fault?"

"Would you two stop bickering already?!?  You're giving me a bloody headache?!?  I would rip both of your heads off, but that would only make the headache worse!"  Spike yelled from his seats.

*****

The plane had landed, and it was dark enough out that Spike could make it to the building.  As he was running from the rising sun, and into the building, he neglected to see the HUGE sign that said "Welcome to Fantasy Island".

"We're on Fantasy Island?  I thought that was just a myth."  Buffy said.

"Obviously it's not."  Willow said, not surprised due to the little conversation she and Spike had the night before.

"You're not surprised.  Why is that?"  Anya asked.

"I already knew.  Spike tricked Giles into telling him where we were going.  When he was at my house last night, he told me.  I've been thinking about my fantasy for about 24 hours now."

"Well it was nice of you to share this with us.  I could have been thinking about my fantasy instead of making out with Anya."

"Hey!  You're making fun of my again."  Anya said, as they entered the building.

"Oh bloody hell!  Would you stop 'making fun' of her already.  I had to hear about half of the way here.  I don't want to hear anymore!"  Spike said, stepping into the shadows as he realized that the sun was coming in through the large windows.

"Good morning.  Maurice, would you please draw the curtains.  We have a guest with some special needs."  The curtains were drawn, and Spike walked back out, and joined the group.  But not too much. Just enough that you knew he was with them.  He didn't want to be too close to the whelp.

"I'm to see that Amelia didn't crash the plane.  She's been doing quite well since her last little incident."  He paused.  "I am Max, and I will be granting your fantasies.  In a few minutes I will take each one of you individually into my office.  There you will tell me what you want.  Once everyone has gone, I will show you all to your rooms.  And by later tonight, you will begin your fantasies.  Any questions?"

"Are there any limitations as to what we can have?  I mean my being a vampire.  Are there certain things I can't do?"

"I can make anything happen."  Max replied.  "Now that we have all your questions answered, would Mr. Giles please follow me."  Giles followed Max into the office.  "I hope you had a good flight?"

"Yes.  Miss Earhardt was kind enough to let me ask her a few questions."

"She's a very nice person."  Max got down to business.  "Now, Mr. Giles, what is it that you want?"

"I have been thinking about it, and there are many things I would like.  But the one that sticks out most in my mind is, well, I would like to do research for the week."

"For the entire week?"

"Yes.  But only if I would be able to keep what I have found.  Not like you make the notes disappear at the end of the week."

"Granted.  I have the perfect place.  That is if you like the beach."

"Beach?  How am I to do research on the beach?"

"I guess you will just have to see."

Max walked Giles out of the office.  "Miss Summers, you're next."  Buffy walked into the office.  "What is it that you would like?"

"I want to be normal.  I don't want to be the Slayer.  I just want to be average."

"Simple enough."

*****

"Mr. Harris, your fantasy?"

"I'd really like to kill Deadboy, but I've decided that instead, I wanna be a vampire."

"Okay."

*****

"Mrs. Harris?"

"Oh no.  I'm Anya.  You don't need all the formal stuff."

"Okay, Anya, what is your fantasy?"

"To be Anyanka again."

"Okay."  As Anya was walking out, he mumbled, "This should be interesting."

*****

"Miss Rosenberg.  How are you today?"

"Good.  You?"

"Just fine.  What is it that you want?  What life do you want to live an entire week?"

"Well, I thought about it, and I decided that I like being me."

"So you don't have a fantasy?  What a pity.  I was looking forward to working with you."

"No, I have one."

"Oh really?  Let's hear it?"

"I just want to be with Spik . . . er . . . William, for the week."

"Well, that's not what I expected."

"Does that mean I don't get it?"

"No, it means that I didn't expect it.  Granted."

"Oh, thank you."  Willow said, throwing her arms around Max.

*****

"Well, Mr. Chapman.  What do you want?"

"You couldn't by any chance do two things for me could you?"

"Well, it would depend on what they are."

"I want to be with Willow, but not as me."

"What do you mean, not as you?"

"I want . . . I want . . . uh . . . I want to be human."

"Well, that is an odd request.  I think I can arrange something."

"You're not going to give a fake Willow.  Something that just looks and acts like her, but isn't really her, are you?"

"I would never do such a thing.  To let you in on a little secret, Miss Rosenberg's fantasy was just to be with you."

"Oh.  So it'll really be her?"

"Yes."

Part Four

"Well, does anyone mind sharing a room?  The schedule I have infront of me says that Miss Summers and Miss Rosenberg will be sharing a room.  Mr.  Harris and Mrs. . . . uh. . . and Anya will be sharing a room and Mr. Giles and Mr. Chapman will each have a room of their own."

"Actually, I would like a room of my own."  Xander and Anya said together.  Then looked at each other oddly.

"That's fine.  I'm happy the both of you agree."  Max said.

"Yeah, I second that mate.  I didn't want to hear another bloody arguement.  The headache's bad enough already."  Spike chimed.

"Maurice, please show the ladies to their rooms.  Due to the change in plans, Miss Anya will be staying in the room adjacent to Miss Summers and Miss Rosenberg."  Max said in a hushed tone.

"You got it."  Maurice replied.

"Jennings, please show the gentlemen to their rooms.  Mr. Harris will be in the room adjacent to Mr. Chapman.  Just incase he has any questions."  Max said in the same hushed tone.

"I'm on it, sir."  Jennings replied.

*****

"Well, Willow, what's your fantasy?"  Buffy asked on the way to their room.

"I'm not telling.  You'll just have to find out."

"Fine.  Then I'm not telling you mine."

"Ladies, there is a letter on each of your beds.  Please only open the letter addressed to you. We've had problems in the past.  It will tell you what you want to know about your vacation." Maurice dropped their bags in their rooms, and scurried out the door.

*****

"Gentlemen, please open the letter that is placed on your bed.  The bathrooms are on the right, and the I'm sure you will be able to find anything you could want in the kitchens."

"What's in the letter?"  Spike asked.

"Details to your vacation."

"Thanks."  Spike replied.

"If you need anything, just give us a ring downstairs."  Jennings said, walking away from the trio.  "I hate my job."

"So, Spike, what are you doing this week?" Xander asked.

"None of your bleeding business.  See ya later, Rupert."  Spike said walking into his room.

Part Five

"OOWWWWWW!"  He screamed at the top of his lungs, jumping out of the bed.  The next thing he heard, was pounding on the wall from next door.

"Would you shut the HELL up!!  I'm trying to rest over here!!!"  *It's just that stupid english vampire.  Wait, vampire.  He could me!*

Xander ran out into the hall, and banged on Spike's room door. "Spike!  Open up!  I need help."

"What?  Zipping your fly?"  Spike mumbled as he got up, and walked past the window.  He didn't even realize the sun on his skin, or his heart beating.  "What?!?"  Spike snapped out as he opened the door."

"Spike, I need your help."

"How am I supposed to help you?"

"I'm a vampire."

"You're joking."

It was then that Xander realized something.  He hears Spike's heartbeat.  Without a second thought, Xander's face shifted, and the demon came out.  "You are a vampire."

"And you could be dinner."  Xander replied.  "Spike, why do you have a heartbeat?"

"Because..I forgot.  I'm human!!"  He yelled, then realized that Xander was a VAMPIRE.  "You get away from me.  I am not DINNER!"

"Spike, I'll make a deal.  You teach me how to be, well, you.  And I'll teach you how to be . . . me."

"I don't want to be you."  Spike said.

"I mean human."  Xander said, the demon calming, and his human mask slipped back on.

"Fine.  Come in.  Why were yelling?"

"Drapes.  I didn't think it would hurt that much."

"If it didn't hurt that much, don't you think vampires would be running around during the day?"

"I didn't think about that."

"First off, you should really take that off."  Spike said snatching the gold cross from around Xander's neck.  "It's real easy to burn yourself.  And burning is not fun."

"I've already learned that rule."

"Next, when you're hungry, well, if you feed once a day, you shouldn't be hungry.  Easy rule to follow.  One bag of blood a day keeps the demon away.  Unless you want to go around scaring the wits out of people."  Xander nodded.  "Didn't think so.  One more thing you really shouldn't forget.  Invites.  Don't try walking into a room without one.  Invisible barriers hurt when you run into them.  Basically, if you stay away from the sun, fire, the Slayer, and anything sharp and pointy like a stake, and you feed once a day, you're fine.  Now tell me how to be human."

"Okay, well, for starters, if you get a burning feeling-"

"In your stomach?  Yeah what's that.  I have that right now."

"-in your stomach, you have to go to the bathroom."

"I haven't used the loo in over 100 years."  Spike stood and walked into the bathroom.

He looked in the mirror, after going to the bathroom, and was astonished to see himself.  "I guess if I'm human I should get used to this.  I haven't seen you in awhile.  It's nice to see you again."  Spike said to the mirror, then walked back out to Xander.  "How do I know-"  Spike stopped talking, because no one was in the room.  "Where did that bloody nancyboy get to?"  Then Spike realized his front door was open.  He walked out, and over to Xander's room.  "You were hungry weren't you?  I told you the demon needs blood."

Xander was vamped out, and guzzling a bag of blood.  "I never knew the taste of blood was so...so...so..uh...I dunno.  Good?"

Spike rolled his eyes.  "Is there anything I should know, or can I leave you to get to know your inner demon better?"

"Just make sure you go to the bathroom, and eat.  Eat lots of food."

"Before I go, don't eat too much.  If you feed too often, the demon will never go away.  I don't want to find any dead bod--wait, scratch that.  Feed all you want.  Leave as many dead bodies hangin' around.  And if you're into torture, call me first.  I can give you a few pointers.  Plus, I would like to at least watch."  Spike smiled, and walked out of the room, and headed for the great hall after getting dressed.

*****

"Willow, where are you going so early in the morning?"  Buffy mumbled from her bed.

"I have breakfast plans with Spike."

"Oh, okay.  Have fun."  Buffy said before falling back asleep, and then jumping back up.  "What?!?  You have what with Spike?"

"Breakfast plans.  It was in my letter.  I have to meet him for breakfast in the great hall."

"Willow, you can't go to breakfast with Spike."

"Why not?"

"Well, for starters, he doesn't eat.  Food I am. He's a blood sucker, remember?  Vampire?"

"Buffy, it's just breakfast.  I'll be back in a little bit."  Willow said, exiting the room.

*****

"Morning, Red."  Spike said, standing up, and pulling Willow's chair out for her.

"Thank you.  Wow."

"What, pet?"

"Manners."  Spike gave her a puzzled look.  "You have them now.  What was your fantasy?"

"I've always had them."  He said, walking into the sunlight.

"Spike!"  Willow yelled.  He gave her that same puzzled look.  "Why aren't you burning up?"

Spike looked around, and then noticed the sunlight.  "Oh, I'm human."

"Human?"

"Yeah.  That was my request.  I wanted to be human for the week."

"Oh." Willow replied.  "Probably, so you could go out on the beach, and have all the women gawk at you."  She mumbled.

"What, luv?"

"Oh, nothing.  Let's eat.  I'm starved."

*****

"Why, thank you.  I do appreciate you all helping me.  Find books that is."  Giles said to the array of beautiful young women.

"Whatever you want, you just let one of us know, and we'll get right on it."  One of the tall blondes said.

"Thank you, uh..I apologize, I forget your name."

"It's okay.  I'm Candy."

"I won't forget next time."  Giles said, going back to the book Candy had gotten him.  He had been out on the beach for close to two hours and had barely gotten any research done.  The women kept on distracting him.  "I'm fine now.  If I need you, I'll call."  Giles said and Candy walked away.  *Finally, I can concentrate.*

"Mr. Giles, would you like a back rub?"  A brunette asked.

With a sigh, Giles replied, "Actually, no, I would like to get some research done, thank you."

"Okay."  The woman pouted.

*****

*It feels great to have my powers back.  Maybe when we get back, I'll have to try to get them back permanently.  Let's see what I can at this here resort.  There has to be a woman somewhere angry with a cheating husband, or angry that her fantasy didn't pan out, and she wants revenge on Max.  Now that would be interesting.*

"Miss Anya."

"Max.  I was just thinking about you."

"I hope good things.  I just dropped by to let you know that if you are looking for some women who may need your assistance, there will be a few over in the night club later this evening."

"Thanks, but I think I'll wander around first."

"As you wish."

*****

There was a gentle knock on the door.  Buffy put the pillow over her head.  The knocking continued, this time a little louder.  "Go away!"

"I'm sorry, Miss Summers, but I would like to speak with you."

"Fine."  Buffy got up, rubbing her eyes.  She glanced at the clock.  "11 o'clock.  Didn't know it was that early."  She walked over, and opened the door.  "What?"

"Miss Summers, I just wanted to let you know that there have been a few requests for you."

"Requests?"

"Yes.  Some gentlemen have requested you accompany them tonights gala.  I have put together a list of all the gentlemen, and a picture of each one.  When you have made your decision, let me know, and I will let the lucky gentleman know he has been chosen."

"Thanks.  I think."  Buffy grabbed the clip board, and closed the door.  She dropped the clip board on the ground, and fell back on the bed.

Another knock came to the door.  "Buffy?  Willow?  Guys, let me in."

"Xander, what do you want?"  Buffy yelled getting off the bed.  She tossed the clip board on her bed, and opened the door.  "Xander, you look pale.  Maybe you should eat something."

"My thoughts exactly."  Xander said, vamping out.

"Ah!  Xander, why are you a vampire?!?"

"My fantasy."  His human mask was back in place.  "Sorry.  I just wanted to scare you.  I see your fantasy was to not be the Slayer."

"What?  How?"

"Vampires can sense Slayers.  At least Spike told me that once.  You seem like every other person I've met today, so I'm guessing that you're not the Slayer."

"No.  I wanted to be normal."

"You wanted to be normal.  Spike wanted to be normal.  And here I wanted to go and be a vampire."

"Wait, what do you mean, 'Spike wanted to be normal'?"

"He's human.  Not bitey.  I had to teach him a few things.  He taught me a few.  We had a little learning session.  Damn it!"

"What's wrong?"

"I was hoping I'd be able to spar with you.  I mean I want to see what it's like to really be a vampire.  The whole strength thing."

"Sorry.  Maybe there's another vampire around.  Why don't you go look?  I want to sleep a little more."

"Are you sure you're not a vampire, because I thought people were supposed to be awake during the day?"

"I'm sure."

Part Six

After going through over three dozens pictures, Buffy finally decided who she would join for the gala.  She was standing outside Max's office, waiting for him to be available.

"Miss Summers, have you decided?"  Max said, opening the door to his office, and walking out.

"Yes.  I would like to go with Phil Coffin."

"An attractive man.  He's well-mannered, and I'm sure you will enjoy your self.  Your gown will be waiting in your room.  Mr. Coffin will be picking you up at 8 p.m. tonight at your room."

"Thanks."  Buffy said, walking away.

"This should be an interesting night."

*****

"Spike!"

Spike turned around.  He was enjoying himself.  He and Willow were walking on the beach, talking.  "What the hell does he want?"  Spike jogged over to the vampire that was hiding in the shade by the bar.  "What?  I thought we went over everything.  There should be no reason for you to bother me!"

"I have a tiny problem."

"What?"

"There's a woman chasing me.  The demon wanted to scare her, and now all she wants to do is jump my bones."

"Your problem not mine."  Spike walked away from the pleeding boy, and rejoined Willow on the beach.

"What did Xander want?"

"Advice.  Where were we? Oh right, vampire sex . . . "

*****

"Lady, get away from me!"

"I've never had sex with a demon type thingy before."

"You're not starting with me."

"Oh, come on.  You'll like it."

"No, no I won't."  Xander fled away from the girl, yet again.

"I've been chasing him for too long.  Maybe I should just stop."  The girl said.

"Or maybe you shouldn't.  What would be your wish, if you could have it?"

"I would wish that he would be locked in my room, and obey my every command, just for tonight."

"You got it."  Anyanka said.

*****

"A very interesting night."  Max said.  "Maurice, did you give the message the Mr. Coffin that Miss Summers has accepted his request?"

"I did, Mr. Rourke.  I also told the other 30 something guys that they were turned down."

"Good, then I believe it is time to grant Mr. Coffin's fantasy.  You might want to stay home tonight, and just watch what unfolds, Maurice."

"I can't.  I'm the bouncer remember."

"Then maybe I'll just have to tape it for you."

*****

"Ladies, would you please leave me alone.  I am actually further behind in my research than when I arrived here.  All I want to do is read.  I don't need back rubs, or refills on my drink.  I'm not interested in going up to my room, or your room for that matter.  Please just let me research!"  Giles practically yelled.

"Are you having problems, Mr. Giles?"  Max asked.

"Yes, I am.  These women refuse to leave me alone.  I'm trying to research, and they pester me none stop.  I hate distractions."

"Well, Mr. Giles, everyone has a distraction here and there.  You just need to accept that, and your research will go along a bit quicker."

*****

"Willow, would you go with me to the gala tonight?" Spike asked.  He and Willow were sitting by the ocean.  The sun was setting and Willow was resting her head on Spike's shoulder.

"Gala?"

"Yeah.  Max is having one.  He said it would interesting."

"I'd go, but I don't have anything to wear."

"This is Fantasy Island, luv.  You can have anything you want."

"Then I'll go.  I'll collect you around 8?"

"Okay.  We should probably head back.  It's already 7, and it'll probably take some time for me to get ready."

"Okay, I'll walk you back."

*****

"Hi Buffy.  Where are you going?"

"Gala.  You?"

"Same.  Who are you going with?"

"Phil Coffin."

"Phil Coffin?  Isn't that an odd name."

"Who are you going with?"  Buffy asked, changing the subject.

"Spike."

"What is it with him?  You've spent the entire day with him.  Aren't you sick of him?"

"No.  He's actually really nice."

"Well he's human, he really hurt anything."

"I don't think that's the reason."  Willow mumbled.

"Huh?"

"Nothing.  Are you wearing the green dress or the blue one?"

"Blue."

"Okay."  Willow grabbed the pale green dress, and walked into the bathroom.

Half and hour later, she walked out.  The gown was beautiful.  It was a pale green shade with long sleeves and a scooped neck that showed just enough cleavage. It was snug around her waist, and the back was a series of criss-cross ties over the material.  The rest of the gown was straight with a high slit up one leg that allowed her to move freely.

Buffy's gown was similar.  A beautiful shade, cerulean.  The gown was strapless, and straight.  Nothing fancy.  A simple piece of ribbon was tied around the waist, and there were two slits, one up each side.

"Willow, you look amazing.  I can't believe you're wasting it on Spike, though."

"Buffy, it is not a waste.  I like Spike."  She practically whispered the last part.

"You what?!"  There was a knock at the door.  "We'll talk about this later."  Buffy opened the door, and there stood the man from the picture.  Dressed in a traditional tuxedo, he looked handsome.  He had short black hair, and a clean shaven face.  Buffy could tell by looking at him that he worked out.  "Hi.  I'm Buffy."

"I'm Phil."

"This is my best friend, Willow.  Come on in.  I'm not quite ready."

"Okay."  He replied, closing the door behind him.

Not seconds later, another knock came to the door.  Willow stood and answered it.  "Spike."  She was taken aback.  There stood Spike, wearing  a short black coat with tails over a white shirt and black cumberbund.  A black bow tie and pleated pants finished off the outfit.

"Ello, luv.  Can I come in?"

"Um..uh...oh, yeah.  Sure.  Spike this is Phil, Buffy's date."

The two shook hands.  "Luv, can we chat somewhere private?"

"Yeah.  The bathroom's empty."

Spike followed Willow into the bathroom.  Once inside, he promptly closed the door, and turned the spicket on full blast.  "What's wrong?"

"That bloke out there's a vampire."

"What?  How?"

"I guess being one for 100+ years I'm able to tell, even when I'm human."

"You're joking, right?"

"No."

Part Seven

"This isn't my idea of fun."  Xander said, chained to the bed.  "Please, just let me go.  I'll be good."

"But I don't want you to be good.  I've been with good boys all my life.  I want a bad boy!"  The girl, who had been chasing him, said.

"Look, I don't know how I got here, and how I got chained to the bed, but I don't like it!"

"God, you're lame.  Now, I'm going to release you, but I want to strip and then get back on the bed."

"No way."  She undid the chains, and Xander jumped up, wanting to leave, but found that his hands and feet had a different idea.  Within seconds, he was fully stripped, and back on the bed, ready to be chained.  "Why me?"  He squeaked out.

*****

"What do you mean 'he's a vampire'?"

"That he's a vampire."

"Oh.  Well, then we should stake him."

"But it could have just been his fantasy.  It wouldn't really be fair.  Plus, he might get a little nibbly with the Slayer.  That I wouldn't mind at all."

"Spike!  Buffy's my friend.  I'm not going to let a vampire eat her!"

"Would you calm down?  The Slayer can take care of herself."

"No she can't."

"What do you mean?"

"That was Buffy's fantasy.  Not to be the Slayer."

"Then I guess we have no choice but to go with them to the gala.  You can keep an eye on her."

"You mean, we right?"  Willow asked, her voice full of hope.

"Fine.  I mean we."  Spike turned off the spicket, and the two walked out of the bathroom.

"Are you two ready?"  Willow asked.  "Spike and I figured that the four of us could go together."

Spike noticed Phil's face shift a little, and he nudged Willow.  "Definately new to the whole demon thing.  The demon is just waiting to jump out."  He whispered into her ear, hoping the bloke in front of them wouldn't hear him.

"Buffy, can I talk to you?"

"What are you doing luv?  Don't tell her."

"Sure."  Buffy walked off to the side with Willow.  "What's up, Wills?"

"Just be careful, okay?"

"Yeah.  Of course."

The girls rejoined their dates, and the four made their way to the gala.

*****

"Buffy?  Is that Giles running towards us?"  Willow asked.

It sure was.  He was racing down the hall, every second or two, shooting a glance behind him.  He stopped right infront of the foursome.  "Hide me?"  He practically begged.

"Giles, who's chasing you?"

"Them!"  Giles said pointing at a gang of women.  "They won't let me do research!  All I wanted to do was research! But they won't let me!"  He screamed.

As the girls approached them, Giles hid behind Spike.

"Rupert, we just want to help."

"Go 'way."  He said, popping his head up from behind Spike, just to drop it back down.

"Let us help you."  Another pleaded.

"No."  Giles said, repeating the action.

"Ladies, why don't you leave the bloke alone for a few?  He seems a bit, well, nuts."

"Fine.  But Rupert, we'll be expecting you down in the library soon."  Giles' harem left.

"Thank you, Spike."

"Giles would you like to explain?"  Buffy asked.

"My fantasy was to do research, but Max threw in the beach and women.  Now I can't seem to get them to go away."

"Well, it seems that he does things for a reason.  Did he tell you anything?"  Willow offered.

"Yes.  He said, 'Everyone has a distraction here and there.  You just need to accept that, and your research will go along a bit quicker.'."

"Maybe you should think about that, mate.  The chits said they'd be in the library, so just stay away from there, and you should be fine."  Spike said.

"Okay.  I'll be in my room if you need me."  Giles said, walking away.

"I hope he feels better tomorrow."

"I'll check on him in the morning." Spike said.

*****

*This sucks.  I haven't found one person since that woman that was chasing Xander.  Wait, Max said that there would be women at the night club.  If there isn't anything there, I'll just get someone to wish something evil on Max.*

*****

"Are you enjoying yourself, luv?"  Spike asked Willow, as they made their way to the dance floor.

"I just wish that vampire would make his move, so we can stake, and get the night moving."

"Relax."  Spike pulled Willow into his arms.  She put her arms up around his neck, while he rested his around her waist.

"What do you want to do tomorrow?"  Spike asked.

"I don't know.  Just be around you."  She rested her head on his chest.  Listening to his heartbeat, she almost missed what he said next.

"I know."  He whispered, not thinking she would have heard him.

"What do you mean you know?"  Willow said, pulling her head from his chest, and placing her hands on his shoulders, pushing him away.

"I just, I.."

"How?"

"Max told me what your fantasy was."

"How dare he?!?  And you Mister.  You should have told me you knew!"

"I didn't think it was such a big deal.  You know what my fantasy is."

"Yeah, but you told me!  Who says I wanted you to know?!?" Willow stormed away, not hearing Spike's reply.

"But I only chose to be human because I knew I would be spending my time with you."

Just as Willow was about to walk out the door, she heard Buffy shriek.  She whipped around, to see Phil with his head in Buffy's neck.  "Buuffffyyyy!!!"

Spike ran over to the table, and tried pulling Phil off of Buffy, but only succeeded in pissing off the demon.

Phil turned to the intruder, and stalked away from Buffy, chasing Spike.

"Oh goddess, I wish that Phil would just disappear, and leave us alone!"  Willow said, crouched down next to Buffy.

Part Eight

"Hi Willow."

"Anya?"  Willow questioned the demon before her.

"Actually, for the week I'm Anyanka.  You requested that 'Phil would just disappear and leave us alone'?"

"Yeah."  Willow replied confused.  "Yeah!"  The answer came more enthusiastically.  "You're Anyanka!  You can do that!"

"Yup, and since you wished, I'm allowed."  Anyanka snapped her fingers, and Phil disappeared.  "Do you need help getting out?"  Anyanka asked.

"I'll help."  Spike said, approaching the trio.

"You will not!  I don't want to ever see you again!"  Willow shouted, getting Buffy to her feet.

As the two were exiting, they bumped into Xander.  "Hey Wills, you need help?"

"Please?"

"Sure.  I'll carry her."  Xander picked Buffy up and cradled her in his arms.

"Xander, when did you get to be so strong?"

"Since I became a vampire."

"What?  Did Spike turn you?  I am *so* gonna kill him."

"No, it's my fantasy to be one."

*****

"Hey mate."  Spike said walking into Giles' room.

"Spike?  How was the gala?"

"Slayer was almost killed by her vampire date.  Then red flipped on me, and said she never wants to see me again.  You?"

"Oh dear.  Is Buffy alright?"

"Fine.  The whelp was helping her."

"Oh."

"How you feeling?"

"Much better since the woman have left me alone."

"I can't believe you didn't like having your own brothel.  Most blokes would die for that."

"Well, I reallized what Max meant.  He wanted me to realize that sometimes Willow, and Xander and Buffy, and even you have other things to do."

"I guess he wanted all of us to learn a lesson."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, he made Red hate me."

"Join me for some scotch?"

"Love to."

The two then proceeded to get plastered, and crashed in Giles' room.

*****

Giles popped two aspirin in his mouth, and began, "Max, we all apologize, but due to unforseen circumstances we will be unable to stay the remainder of the week.  I suppose a week on Fantasy Island was a bit too much for some of us."

"That's fi--"

"What right do you have telling Spike what my fantasy was?"

"Well, he wanted to make a decision.  I just helped him along."

"You shouldn't have helped."  Willow stormed out of the building.

"Spike, do you have any more aspirin?"  Giles asked.  Willow's yelling had heighted the pain of his headache, which was first induced due to the amount of alcohol he had consumed.

"Here.  Take the bottle."  Spike said absently handing the bottle over.  His eyes were on Willow.  He couldn't believe he screwed it up.

*****

"Amelia, when you said about Spike hanging around Slayers, what did you mean?"

"He never told you?"

"No.  Why would he tell me?"

"Well it's obvious he loves you."  Since Willow didn't respond, Amelia continued.  "You know he's killed two, right?"  Willow nodded.  "Did he ever tell you how?"  She shook her head.  "He killed them while claiming them.  There's something about Slayer's blood though.  When a vampire feeds from a Slayer, the blood is like a drug to them.  They can't get enough.  That's the reason why most Slayers don't choose vampires as lovers.  Spike was claiming Alicia and Maggie, only he drank too much, and killed them.  He loved them, but his demon just wanted their blood."

*****

The plane ride home was made in silence, except for Xander and Anya.  They were the only two that enjoyed the vacation.

"It makes no sense.  We go on vacation, and more than half of us come back even more stressed out.  There is something wrong with you all."  Xander said as they landed.

Epilogue

Ever since the vacation, Spike had been ignoring Willow, and Willow ignored Spike.  He was acting like the vampire she thought he wasn't.  She truly hoped that once they returned to Sunnydale, he would tell her he was sorry, but he never did.  He was acting like an asshole.  Like a jerk.  **I can't believe he's being such an ass.  I mean, I thought he really liked me.  I guess I was just kidding myself.  I should never have thought that Spike would actually like me.  He's just a creep.**

*****

**She probably thinks I'm a creep.  I should never have started this charade.  I should never have neglected her.  I should never have ignored her.**

*****

Willow's phone, but she let the answering machine get it.  She didn't want to talk to anyone.  "...leave a message at the beep." BEEEPPP!

Instead of a voice, Willow heard a guitar playing.  She grabbed the phone, but didn't say anything.

"If I said what's on my mind
You'd turn and walk away
Disappearing way back in your dreams
It's so hard to be unkind.
So easy just to say
That everything is just the way it seems.

You look up at me and somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be
If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
It's gettin' harder everyday for me.
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be

I can't get any stronger
And I can't climb any higher
You'll never know just how hard I've tried
Cry a little longer and hold a little tighter
Emotions can't be satisfied

You look up at me and somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be
If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
It's gettin' harder everyday for me.
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be."  The guitar and singer stopped.

"Spike, are you there?"  No answer.  "Spike?"

"Yeah, luv?  Sorry, I had to put the guitar down and pick up the phone."

"I love you."

"I love you, too.  Are we done playing this game?"

"I think so."

"Then get your cute ass over, so we can shag like bunnies."
